Day 1: Casablanca – Rabat – Meknes – Fes

Your experience starts at the economic center of Morocco, Casablanca. Begin by visiting the Hassan II Mosque, which is an amazing building that overlooks the Atlantic Ocean. Marvel at the elaborate sculptures, the mosaic-work, and the minaret. This is a giant mosque in the world and a real representation of Moroccan workmanship.

Then visit Rabat, the capital, and the Hassan Tower, an incomplete minaret, dating back to the 12th century. Pay a visit to the mausoleum of Mohammed V, which is a wonderful structure of Moroccan architecture, in which you can reminisce about the history of the royalty of Morocco. Take a walk through the neatly-kept gardens and relax under the serene atmosphere.

Lunch break in Rabat and then off to Meknes, another imperial city full of history. Be amazed by the grand gate at Bab Mansour, whose mosaics are detailed and huge. Meknes is a mixture of history and culture, and the beauty of the city that is not as congested as Fes or Marrakech.

Lastly, reach Fes,  which is one of the oldest and most interesting cities in Morocco. The evening is spent in the medina, walking through its small streets, and enjoying the lively local atmosphere. Day 2: Fes – Ifrane – Midelt – Erfoud – Merzouga

Breakfast and then leave Fes and head to the Sahara Desert. Ifrane, also known as Little Switzerland for its European-style architecture, beautiful gardens, and peaceful atmosphere, is the first place to visit. It is an invigorating escape from city life in Morocco.

The Middle Atlas Mountains are the place where the cedar forests are inhabited by Barbary monkeys. These are playful creatures and an unforgettable sight to watch them in their natural habitat. Visit local villages along the way, meet Berber families, and get to know about the traditional lifestyle.

Experience Ziz Valley, which is a fertile oasis with palm groves and kasbahs, and is a great place to gather photographs. The scenery slowly changes to an arid desert as it moves towards Merzouga, a tiny village on the edge of the Erg Chebbi Dunes.

Here, you will also encounter your camel guide and go on a desert adventure. The best way to see a great sunset over the Sahara is to climb up a high dune. The white sands go on and on, forming a fairy-tale, almost heavenly scenario.

Day 3: Merzouga – Todra Gorges – Dades Valley

Early morning waking up in the Sahara to see the Erg Chebbi Dunes sunrise. The desert is vibrant with golden light as the first rays of light reach the sand, forming a spectacular sight that will remain in your mind forever. Have a classic Moroccan breakfast at your desert camp and get ready to drive picturesquely and experience the culture.

Nowadays, we go across the Merzouga to the Todra Gorges, a wonderful chasm with precipices almost 300 metres high. Have a relaxing stroll through the gorge, admire the rugged rock formations, and capture the best shots of the colourful scenery. You are an adventurous person, you can visit some of the smaller paths and experience the power of nature in its full glory.

Go on to the Dades Valley, the Valley of a Thousand Kasbahs, as they call it. Palm groves, traditional Berber villages, and red cliffs are sprinkled across the valley. Throughout the journey, your guide will provide an insight into the culture, architecture, and way of life of the Berbers. Day 4: Dades Valley – Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – Marrakech

This is the last day of your 4 day itinerary in Morocco, and this day starts with an interesting drive towards the movie town in Africa (also referred to as Hollywood), Ouarzazate. On the road, cross Kalaat M’Gouna, which has a rose valley, particularly at the spring when the flowers are in bloom.

Another option in Ouarzazate is to visit the Atlas Film Studios, which is the largest film studio in the world, where movies such as Gladiator and Game of Thrones were filmed. Next, proceed to Ait Ben Haddou, which is a UNESCO World Heritage and one of the most famous kasbahs in Morocco. Tour the streets of this fortified village and get to know its history and the history of film.

Then, the next stop is an excursion through the High Atlas Mountains with the spectacular Tizi n’Tichka pass (2,260 meters above sea level). The views are panoramic, the mountains are snowy (when it is winter), and the small Berber villages are situated on the slopes.
