Day 1: Arrival in Casablanca – Fes 

(Approx. 295 km | 4.5 to 5 hours drive)

Welcome to Morocco! The moment you land in Casablanca, you’ll feel the buzz of the country, where the modern city meets timeless charm.

Your friendly local driver will meet you at the airport and help you settle in before your first stop: the Hassan II Mosque, one of the world’s largest and most beautiful mosques, standing proudly by the sea. You’ll have time to walk along the Corniche, enjoy ocean views, and maybe sip mint tea as waves crash nearby.

Then, the journey begins toward Fes, Morocco’s spiritual and cultural capital. On the way, rolling hills and olive groves paint the landscape, offering glimpses of Morocco’s countryside life.
By evening, you’ll reach your charming riad in the old medina,  a cozy, traditional Moroccan home where warm hospitality and aromatic dinners welcome you to your first night.

It’s the perfect slow start to your adventure, a day that gently introduces you to Morocco’s rhythm.

Day 2: Fes – Full-Day Guided City Tour (Local Travel | Full Day on Foot & Short Drives)

Today, you step back in time. Fes is not a city; it is a museum that lives.

In the morning, right after breakfast, your local guide will take you deep down into the Fes el-Bali Medina, which is currently one of the oldest and most interesting walled cities in the world. You will walk down dingy lanes that are full of color, craftsmen beating copper, dress-makers stitching by hand, and fresh bread smelling the air.

See the oldest university in the world, the Al-Qarawiyyin University, and the complex tiling designs of the Bou Inania Madrasa. Have a visit to the Royal Palace, look at the famous Bab Bou Jeloud (Blue Gate), and go to the Merenid Tombs to see an overview of the whole city, the ideal place to have a sunset.

Travelers are lost in the maze-like streets of Fes, and that is one of the attractions, yet with your guide, each left turn is a story. It is not just that, by the end of the day, you will see Fes; you will feel it.

Day 3: Fes – Ifrane – Midelt – Erfoud – Merzouga

 (Approx. 470 km | 7–8 hours drive)

Wake up early, as Morocco is not as diverse as it is today. Getting out of Fes, you will take a route through the Middle Atlas Mountains, and you will feel that you read about cedar forests and soft valleys in a fairytale. Pull up in Ifran, known as Little Switzerland for its Alpine houses and quiet gardens. Even a simple walk on these streets. That would show you that Morocco will not stop creating contrasts: snow-covered mountains in winter, and you must enjoy 8 Days from Casablanca, golden desert dunes in several hours! 

On your way to Merzouga, near Midelt, you will find the landscape changing to a stone desert. In the process, the villages of Berbers look like small blots of color in the ground, and you may even find locals herding goats down a tiny road.

Entering Merzouga, the entrance to the Sahara, you sense the atmosphere shift: it is warmer, drier, and there is an ancient silence. Get ready to ride a camel magically through the golden dunes with the sun setting on the horizon. By the time you get to the desert camp, you have a sky filled with stars, and this is a scene so breathtaking that you will wish you could keep it.

In this case, in the very center of the Sahara, you will hear the traditional Berber music, have a fine dinner during the night with stars, and a night that will seem like a walking into a different world.

Day 4: Merzouga -Rissani -Todra Gorges

(Approx. 260 km | 5 hours drive)

Rise early in the morning to see the sunrise in the Sahara, when the first rays of the light fall on the waving dunes. It is almost a very peaceful moment,  just you, the desert, and endless golden waves that go all the way to the horizon.

The next destination after breakfast is the small town of Rissani, which boasts vibrant markets. You can also visit local crafts, dried fruits,, and spices here, and it is an ideal place to buy local souvenirs.

Then the scenery changes radically, and you arrive at Todra Gorges, a chain of impressive gullies, whose sidewalls are hundreds of meters high. Strolling along the floor of the gorge, you will be in awe of the greatness of nature, but impressed by the beauty of just being there. Most people who have visited the place describe it as a humbling experience, an eye-opener to how big and magnificent the world is.

Stay overnight at a nice hotel in the area of the gorge, go through the local cuisine, and share the magical desert experience of the previous day.

Day 5: Todra Gorges -Dades Valley -Skoura -Ouarzazate

 (Approx. 200 km | 4.5 to 5 hours drive)

Today, you are traveling to the valley of the Dades, where there are great rock formations, the so-called Monkey Fingers. Every twist of the road is a postcard; there are no limits on where a person can stop to take pictures or just absorb the great view.

Go on to Skoura, an oasis village with antique palm groves and Kasbahs that seem to have been frozen by time. The tranquility here is an ideal antithesis to the enthusiasm of yesterday, a murmur to ensure that the enigma of Morocco is not only in its scenery, but also in the backwaters of the country.

Lastly, reach Ouarzazate, the so-called Gateway to the  Sahara. Visit the Taourirt Kasbah, a remarkable clay fortress, and imagine how people used to live in old Morocco, where merchants, soldiers, and nomads lived in these streets. The film studios are also not new in this city, as a few Hollywood films and series have been filmed there, adding a bit of Moroccan magic to the desert.

Ouarzazate at night is one of the moments of introspection and a period to take much-needed rest before the journey across the mountains to Marrakech.

Day 6: Ouarzazate -Ait Ben Haddou- Tizi-n-Tichka- Marrakech

(~200 km | ~4.5–5 hrs driving time)

Following breakfast, go to Ait Ben Haddou, which is a UNESCO World Heritage site. This captivating kasbah has been featured in such famous movies as Gladiator and Game of Thrones, yet in practice, it is even more magical. Strolling along its earth-enclosed walls, along its tiny streets and sunny patios, you can well imagine the events of caravans, kings, and tradesmen who passed in this place many centuries ago.

Then there is the beautiful ride in the High Atlas Mountains along the Tizi-n-Tichka pass. It has hairpin turns and panoramic views that make it the best place to park, stretch out, and make lifetime memories. Each turn of the road leads to yet another view, snow-white mountains, the valley interspersed with Berber settlements, and zigzag streams shimmering in the sun.

Reach Marrakech in late afternoon, and the energy of the city will immediately draw you. This city is a personal experience; it is a multi-sensory treat that you will not forget.

Day 7: Marrakech-Guided Sightseeing City Tour

Marrakech, Welcome to the Moroccan pulse of Morocco! However, you will discover the historical marvels of the city, its colorful souks, and streets today. Stroll in the vibrant Jemaa el-Fnaa Square, where narrators, snake charmers, and musicians make the experience living and magical. 8 days tour from Casablanca has that point totally up on walking.

Day 8: Marrakech – Casablanca Airport (Approx. 240 km | 2.5–3 hours)

It’s hard to say goodbye, but the memories you’ve made will last a lifetime. Driving back to Casablanca, you’ll pass through scenic landscapes one last time, each view a reminder of the adventure you’ve had.

Depending on your flight schedule, you may stop at local markets or simply enjoy the ride, reflecting on deserts crossed, mountains climbed, and cities explored.
